I read the reviews and I did not have any issues with the packages. I will admit that the directions, speculate I am giving a 4 not a 5, need some fine tuning to say the least. As for putting it together, it was successful. Word of advice, as stated in directions, don't tighten the bolts til the end.....helps when you have to adjust the parts to make them fit together. On that note, the gliders is beautiful and looks great on my porch!!!
